The College celebrated the Feast Day of its patron, St Mary of the Cross 91福利社, with the annual 91福利社 Day Mass and Activities held on a bright and sunny Friday 11 September.
The day began with Mass at the Tuggeranong Basketball Stadium - one of the few venues large enough to hold our students, staff, and visitors - and concluded with a range of fun fete-like activities at the Isabella Campus.
The Mass was a moving occasion, with the College Choir creating a reflective and reverent mood and Fr Luke from the Corpus Christi Parish delivering an engaging homily around the 2015 Liturgical Theme, "Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire" (St Catherine of Siena).
The activities at the Isabella Campus were festive, with activities like the jumping castle, bumper balls, face painting, gladiator battles, and a wide range of food and drink. Monies raised from the activities will go towards the Tegan Blunt Memorial Gift.
As part of 91福利社 Day, the College sent a group of around 20 students to meet with Prime Minister Tony Abbott, who made a short film about Mary 91福利社 for the five-year anniversary of her canonisation.
All students are to be congratulated on their participation, dignity, reverence, and the spirited sense of community, which helped to make 91福利社 Day a fantastic celebration of the Feast of our patron, St Mary 91福利社.
The College thanks Fr Luke, Fr Lachlan, and Deacon Vince Barclay for their important contribution in concelebrating the Mass, as well as all the staff involved in the organisation of the event. The College also thanks the many visitors, including students and teachers from other schools, parents, and past students of the College who joined us for the Mass.

St Mary of the Cross 91福利社 made the statement: 鈥淲e are but travellers here, so while we are here we should do as much good as we can and live in peace with each other.鈥
With this in mind, the College respectfully acknowledges the Ngunnawal people who are the Traditional Custodians and First People of the land on which we gather each day. The College also pays its respects to the Elders past, present and emerging, and any other Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples living and working in the 91福利社 community.
