Congratulations to Year 11 students Emma Clarke and Elise Paull who have received a 2014 ACT Children's Week Endeavour Award.
The students were presented with the award by Margaret Reid AO at the launch of ACT Children's Week at the National Museum of Australia on Wednesday 22 October.
Emma and Elise were nominated for their work within the Canberra community advocating for social justice issues as well as promoting fair trade by running a Fair Trade stall, which also raised funds for a range of charities. As well as the work they do, they were also recognised for their leadership roles at Kid's Church and other camps and activities involving young people.
The Endeavour Award is presented to persons aged 18 years and under who make extraordinary contributions to other young people 鈥 through volunteer work, advocacy, or being good role models for other children and young people.
Emma and Elise are two truly deserving recipients of the ACT Children's Week Endeavour Award 鈥 not just for the work they do in the wider community, but also the invaluable contributions they make to the life of the College. Congratulations, girls!
